About Us – IVVVC

Welcome to the Ipswich Veteran and Vintage Vehicle Car Club Inc. which was formed in 1974 and became incorporated in 1985.

The Club’s objectives are:

To assist in the location, restoration and maintenance of their vehicles by acting as a medium of exchange for parts, ideas and information.
To build a library of information relating to vehicles.
To encourage and sponsor social activities for the members and their families.
To maintain a liaison with people of Ipswich and so become part of the historical value of Ipswich.

How the Club communicates

A bi-monthly newsletter “The Good Oil News” keeps members informed of all club activities. Also members are encouraged to participate in supplying interesting articles of information to enhance its content.

The I.V.V.V.C. holds a general meeting on the second Thursday of every month, except January, at 7.30 pm at the St Thomas Hall, Lawrence St North Ipswich.

Committee meetings are held on the Monday before the General Meeting, except January, at member’s residences on a rotational basis.

Anyone with an interest in old motor vehicles and wishing to enjoy some fellowship with people of similar interest are most welcome to attend. There are no restrictions or limitations applied to joining the club as it is not necessary to own an old vehicle to become a member.
